www.colorinhtml.com seems to be down:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Thanks for your feedback Geert. This item has now been removed.

I just tried 'ClipConverted' to download YouTube audio and got an error message "ClipConverter is not available for videos containing music.'
Will look elsewhere.

You should also have a look at SSuite Office's new online web apps and office suite, great looking, free, and no login required like most other web apps.

They are all found here: https://www.ssuiteoffice.com/SSuiteWebOffice.htm

Enjoy and also try and add them to your list of online office suites and word processors, and even a spreadsheet app! :)

I found what I think is a great free online PDF converter, https://online2pdf.com/ .
I was able to merge multiple files and file types into single PDFs. The PDFs I created are hundreds of pages long, so I haven't looked through them completely, but so far they all look great. You can merge up to 20 files at a time.

Does someone know BabelNet (http://babelnet.org/)

"BabelNet is both a multilingual encyclopedic dictionary, with lexicographic and encyclopedic coverage of terms, and a semantic network which connects concepts and named entities in a very large network of semantic relations, made up of about 15 million entries, called Babel synsets"

Cool thanks

Anubis is no more.
http://anubis.iseclab.org/
"We are discontinuing the Anubis and Wepawet services.

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to maintain these tools and improve them to match an ever-changing malware landscape.

The creators of Anubis and Wepawet have moved on and created a company, Lastline, Inc., whose products provide malware analysis and countermeasure capabilities to enterprises of all sizes.
You can check Lastline’s solutions, which include both malware analysis and URL analysis tools, at www.lastline.com, or by sending an email to info@lastline.com.

However, we are planning to continue the development and maintenance of Andrubis, our sandbox to analyze Android apps. Please send an email to andrubis@iseclab.org for any questions or check this page back later for news!

We'd like to thank all of you for being loyal users of these services, and supporting us over the many years.

Please do come and talk to us at the next conference! (e.g., Blackhat, DefCon, RSA, IEEE Security & Privacy, NDSS, USENIX Security, ACM CCS, …)

If you have any questions, please send an email to wepawet@cs.ucsb.edu or anubis@cs.ucsb.edu. "

Thanks for your feedback howiem. It is now removed from this list.

It seems that BitStrips is no more. :-( There is now only BitMoji. It lets you create a customized avatar that resembles you and you can paste variations of it into various apps on your phone or PC. You can't make comic strips anymore though.

Many thanks EdK for your kind feedback. I've now replaced Bitstrips with Bitmoji, which looks good!

I like your lists. What would be really helpful, though, is a sub-index for each of the main categories. It would save loads of time when we are looking for something in particular. The way it is set up is very good for anyone wanting to just browse.

Your kind comment Catsup22 is much appreciated. Currently we have eleven main categories; clicking a main category leads you to a page listing apps and services grouped by subcategory. For ease of searching, we sort subcategory titles in alphabetical order. Hope this helps.

Are there any good online sites or apps for playing Checkers? What is best? Any reviews?
I see Chess but not Checkers.

Maybe I missed it, but how about listing some good WebRTC sites for video chat? Maybe a whole article on replacing Skype or other video teleconferencing software? The only ones I know off the top of my head are appear.in and sylaps, but there are scads of others.

I'd like to see DuckDuckGo listed under "Best Free Online Web Search". For those of us who value our privacy and don't want our search terms archived, DuckDuckGo is definitely better than Google. Also, DuckDuckGo gives everybody the same answer to a search query so you are guaranteed a neutral viewpoint.

I couldn't agree more; DuckDuckGo is all the things that Google isn't, including neutral and trustworthy.

Informative discussion and great efforts.thank you for providing.

Tried to like Flipboard multiple times, but always failed. Guess it doesn't work for everyone.

The TOMA - free internet TV link has a REALLY scary warning pop up. Just hope I didn't get zinged. I exited the site without clicking on anything.

First time in a long time that I got into one of those areas.

Thanks HmS-PA for pointing out. "TOMA - Internet TV" is now removed from the list as it's a browser-based version of JLC's internet TV viewer and the latter is no more maintained.

A good online zip converter:

archive.online-convert.com/convert-to-zip

Please include in the list.

Is ScheduleOnce free?
I visited the link but couldn't find a free plan.
The minimal plan starts at $5/user/month.

Please check.

A free plan has been gone, so from the list. Thanks Realist.

TeuxDeux is not free.
It's $3/month or $24/year.

Thanks Realist for your feedback. Unfortunately it has no more free option and has now been removed from the list.

Unfortunately Grooveshark, is no more. They left fans a goodbye message on their site, then they packed up their groovy dorsal fins, and headed for friendlier waters. I'm going to share a little of their closing post here, if that's ok. An epitaph, perhaps;
"Dear Music fans,
Today we are shutting down Grooveshark..."
It goes on to offer what seems to be a humble, and sincere apology for infringing on copyrights. They added a short list of alternative sites for music, and then they beg fans to "respect the artists, songwriters," and everyone involved in the industry, by using only licensed music services. Then it closes with...
"Yours in music,
Your friends at Grooveshark
April 30, 2015..." *sniffles, and dabs at her eyes with a tissue*
What? Too sarcastic? Kidding aside, I actually really loved Grooveshark. I was a member for several years. I'm sad that they had to shut down.

Thanks for your feedback darknesseternal. This item has now been removed from the list.

Mammoth task, excellent reference resource. Due to the sheer size of it though there'll always be the odd problem with some services -- most notably in the field of song lyrics, where time and again the issue of copyright crops up.

I can't for the life of me see why I shouldn't be able to pick up on all the words of some of my favourite songs -- all the words, because very often the lyrics get lost. Major so-called "lyric finders" like LyricWikia, mentioned on here, repeatedly stumble in their searches, reporting that "unfortunately, we are not licensed to display the full lyrics for this song at the moment. Hopefully, we will be able to in the future. Until then. . . how about a random page?"

Er, well, thanks but no thanks. I'm looking to singalong to the The Last Resort by The Eagles, and very much doubt I'm going to be arrested as I drive along because my voice is in breach of copyright. LyricWikia's offer of "a random page" ain't exactly what I had in mind. Good thing, then, that azlyrics.com is still around.

www.ClipConverter.cc/ is a better alternative to KeepVid for YouTube, Vimeo, etc. downloading, as of lately. No need for Java or other plugins, works with 1080p, is simpler to use, supports more video services, and has no ads that I could notice, or they must be completely unobtrusive. I say definitely replace KeepVid as the recommendation with this one!
